Caline G. Newton is a leading financial services professional in regulatory and statutory compliance, corporate administration, senior management reporting, anti-money laundering, risk management, trust management, internal policy development and revision, ongoing due diligence with in depth knowledge of the Value Added Tax Laws and Labour Laws of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. She is an Accountant, Certified Manager, Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Financial Crime Specialist; possessing a unique skill set that combines the knowledge of complex financial transactions in Fraud Prevention, Detection and Deterrence, Global Anti-Corruption, Tax Evasion, Compliance, Investigation and Cybersecurity with an understanding of methods, law and investigation.
She is the Founder of the non-profit ‘Our Grand Bahama’, the Treasurer of Lupus Bahamas, the Treasurer and a Mentor of SPARKLE and the President of the Catholic Women’s Auxiliary of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She is also the recipient of the distinguished Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
For the past 18 years she has delivered financial education through seminars, workshops, curricula and trainings. She is a personal financial analyst and strategist specializing in financial literacy.
Newton completed her tertiary education with distinction at Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa in the area of Accounting and Computer Information Systems. She also completed graduate level courses in the areas of Organizational Management, Managerial Marketing & Economics and Legal Environment.
She is a devout Roman Catholic and enjoys the Spoken Word, public speaking, writing, poetry, calligraphy and walking along the beach.
